Welcome. I’m Jenny duBay - author, trauma-informed coach, and believer in the power of story.
I write historical fiction inspired by the lives of medieval mystics - women who walked through chaos, suffering, and spiritual fire, and emerged with a grace that still speaks across centuries.
Their courage became a lifeline in my own healing journey. Now I tell their stories, weaving history with themes of resilience, beauty, and the search for truth, so they can inspire others the way they inspired me.
In addition to my fiction, I also write reflections and resources for women navigating betrayal, trauma, or spiritual wounds—not with formulas or platitudes, but with honesty, clarity, and the reminder that they are not alone.
As a trauma-informed life coach with a mission to help survivors of domestic abuse and betrayal trauma reclaim their lives, my non-fiction books focus on hope, healing and renewal.
Whether you’ve come here for immersive fiction, honest reflections, or simply something deeper than surface-level faith, I hope you find a place that speaks to your heart and stays with you long after you leave.
What if a medieval mystic could help you heal?
Why I Write
For years, I was lost in emotional and spiritual confusion, unsure where to turn amidst trauma and despair.
Then God met me in the most unexpected place: the story of a 14th-century mystic named Caterina di Giacomo di Benincasa — more commonly known as St. Catherine of Siena.
Her fire, clarity, and faith in the midst of a turbulent century broke something open in me. Her courage became a mirror, showing me what resilience and grace could look like in the middle of chaos.
Her story lit the path back to my own.
Today, I write to carry that flame forward, through historical fiction, honest essays, and reflections for those walking through their own shadows.
My goal is simple: to remind you that beauty still exists, healing is real, and the voices of the past still have a great deal to say to us today.
